These leads are made from superior components in British Racing Green to replicate the original colour and cable size used by Triumph
The leads are 7mm, Dual Silicone insulated cable can operate up to
220 DEGREES C.
Being 7mm they will fit into the Stag`s standard clips unlike commonly available 8mm silicone leads that are damaged by standard clips.
The leads have a MAGLITE stainless steel wirewound core for excellent spark quality.
They also have All Silicone spark plug boots and EPDM coil and distributor cap boots - no PVC.
Insulation is 35Kv around 60% more than the standard coil rating.
The Cable is manufactured to ISO3808/2-1980 E, Class E, Type 3.
The leads have right angle boots as illustrated in the original catalogue and each lead carries a small band with the cylinder number. These can be snipped off if desired being careful to avoid cutting the lead.
When fitting to spark plugs raise the lip of the boot to exclude air and gently push the boot onto the spark plug, Gradually increase the pressure until you hear it click into place. Ensure the pressure is applied dead straight and in line with the plug body.
Sometimes the coil lead rubber boot needs easing back before the connection is made and then re-positioned
